Job Description
Manage and lead the resources on shift to meet safety, environmental, production, quality and cost goals of the Recovery & Utilities department and the Canton Mill.
oManage, direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in production on assigned shift to meet production goals.
oMeet production goals by balancing quality, productivity, performance, cost, safety, environmental, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas
oOther duties as assigned
oEnsure all employees are knowledgeable of and adhere to mill safety policies and regulations.
oResponsible for effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution. Ensure hourly employees have proper training and tools to meet department.
oWork with other departments, shifts, and direct reports to achieve team attitude among crew and peers.
oWeekly schedules for posting on Thursday of each week.
oInitiate and follow up work orders in SAP to provide communication to maintenance department of mechanical and E & I issues.
oTracking and development of temporary and permanent set up documentation and seniority lists for department.
Special Knowledge Skills:
oBS degree in either Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper, Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred. Other technical degrees, certifications coupled with 10+ years of equivalent work experience will be considered for exceptional candidates.
o7+ years of relevant experience in a Recovery Area, preferred.
o7+ years of relevant experience in an integrated Paper Mill, preferred.
o5+ years of relevant experience in a paper manufacturing business required.
oLeadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
oSupervisory skills
oAbility to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations.
oStrong interpersonal and communication skills.
oAbility to manage multiple priorities.
oStrong team player
oKnowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of product
oKnowledge of business and management principles
oBasic knowledge of SAP system
oFairly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
oMust have above average troubleshooting skills
oNeed to be willing to document all aspects of daily operation.
oWorking knowledge of lime kilns, turbine generators, recovery boilers, and power boilers.
oMust have an understanding of the safety and environmental obligations of the Recovery area.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
