Qualifications:
The Geri Tech works under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
They must have a genuine interest in the elderly.
Must have patience and tact, be pleasant and courteous when dealing with the residents and their families.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
All Task Assistants must act mature while on the job.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Good physical and mental health required.
Sits, stands, walks, stoops, turns, reaches, bends all day/shift.
Manual dexterity needed for handling equipment.
Must possess sight/hearing senses (or use prosthetics) to meet job requirements.
May be required to lift residents, equipment or supplies.
Must be able to speak English in an understandable manner.
MAJOR DUTIES (include but are not limited to):
1.
Transporting residents to and from the Dining Room in a safe and timely manner.
2.
Preparing residents for their evening meal.
This includes seating them at their assigned place, placing a protective covering on them, and ensuring that their eating experience is a pleasant one.
3.
Feeding residents who require assistance.
4.
Completing all charting correctly, and entering the data into the kiosk.
5.
Filling resident water pitchers with fresh ice and water using proper sanitary regulations as required by the State.
6.
Completing all required vitals for their assigned halls, including the weekly vitals each weekend.
7.
Stocking all supplies for their assigned hall including diapers, gloves, cups, etc.
8.
All other duties as deemed necessary by the Charge Nurse, Nursing Supervisor or DON.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
